Is there a minimum commitment or contract?

Your SMMV membership is month-to-month. Cancel anytime. Individual property bookings have a 30-day minimum stay, but there’s no annual membership lock-in. Annual plans are available at a discount but are entirely optional.

What does “all-inclusive” actually mean?

Every property listing shows a single flat monthly price that includes rent, electricity, water, gas or heating, and high-speed WiFi. You pay that number and nothing more. We work with each property partner to ensure utilities are bundled before listing — properties that can’t offer all-inclusive pricing aren’t listed.

How are properties vetted?

Every property goes through our vetting checklist before listing: minimum 50 Mbps WiFi (we test it), furnished with a dedicated workspace, all utilities includable, safe neighborhood verified via Numbeo and State Department travel advisories, and a minimum 4.7/5 cleanliness and quality standard. We also prioritize properties where we have a direct relationship with the owner or manager — not scraped listings.

What happens if there’s a problem with a property?

Your SMMV concierge is your single point of contact for any issue. We work directly with the property partner to resolve problems quickly — you don’t have to navigate it alone. For serious issues (uninhabitable conditions, safety concerns), we will rehouse you at a comparable property at no additional cost.

Can I book a property without visiting the city first?

Yes — and most members do. Our listings include verified photos, WiFi speed test results, neighborhood safety ratings, proximity to transit and co-working spaces, and written reviews from previous SMMV members. We build enough information into each listing so you can book confidently from anywhere.

What if I want to stay longer than expected?

Contact your concierge as early as possible — ideally 2 weeks before your stay ends. We’ll check availability and extend your booking if the property has capacity. If not, we’ll help you find comparable availability in the same city.

Do I need a visa to stay in these cities?

Visa requirements vary by your nationality and destination. SMMV does not provide immigration or legal advice, but our member resources include links to current visa information for each city. Many of our launch cities (Portugal, Croatia, Georgia, Estonia) have active Digital Nomad Visa programs for US and other passport holders.

Each day begins with worship, devotional time, or contemplative practice. We adapt to the faith backgrounds and preferences of each group, creating space that is welcoming to all.

Healing & restoration sessions

The gap was
enormous — and
obvious to anyone
who knew the industry.

Stephanie spent years working with Sabre GDS systems, negotiating corporate travel programs, and managing hotel rate agreements for travel agencies. She understood from the inside how the consortia model worked — how buying power translated into negotiated rates that individual travelers could never access on their own.

When the digital nomad movement exploded, she noticed something striking: 18.5 million Americans now identify as digital nomads, and every platform serving them was a marketplace. Nobody had taken the consortia model — which had existed and worked in corporate travel for decades — and applied it to individual travelers.

So she built it. SMMV Travel Intl is the result: a true buying consortia for nomads and business travelers, with negotiated preferred rates, all-inclusive monthly pricing, and a values-based community layer that no tech platform has ever offered.

Common questions we hear during discovery calls — answered honestly.

Is there a cost to list my property with SMMV?

No. There are no listing fees, setup fees, or annual costs to be part of the SMMV partner network. We earn our revenue from member subscriptions — property partners pay nothing to us.

Do I have to stop listing on short-term rental platforms?

No. Many of our early partners run both simultaneously. As SMMV volume grows, most find they prefer the guaranteed monthly model over unpredictable nightly bookings. You can transition at your own pace — we don’t require exclusivity.

What if a member damages my property?

All members are pre-screened professionals. We require a security deposit and our partner agreement includes a damage protection clause. Professional remote workers on 30–90 day stays statistically cause significantly less damage than short-term vacation renters.

How are bookings and payments handled?

SMMV manages all member communication and booking coordination. You receive one consolidated monthly payment from SMMV — you don’t invoice individual guests. We pay within 5 business days of each month’s start date.

What’s the minimum agreement length?

We start with 3–6 month pilot agreements with no lock-in — if the relationship doesn’t work for either party, we part ways cleanly. Successful pilots typically move to annual agreements with improved rate terms as our volume grows.

My property doesn’t yet include utilities in the price. Can I still apply?

Yes — apply and let us know. For properties where utilities are separately metered, we can sometimes work with property owners to create an estimated all-inclusive package based on average utility costs. We’ll discuss this during the discovery call.
